    Hi,

Just setting up WooCommerce for the first time but been around WP for years. Using latest version of both Woo & WP.

I followed the quick start guide. I added the shortcodes for cart, checkout, account and tracking to individual pages.

When I click to add a product to my cart it is supposed to redirect me to the cart but instead, I am redirected to my home page. The product is added to the cart and if I visit the cart page and click on Checkout similarly I am redirected to the home page rather than the checkout page.

I’m pretty confident this is a simple setting that I have missed somehow but after looking for it over the last 4 hours I am calling UNCLE and hoping someone can just tell me where the setting is that I have missed.

If you could be so kind as to let me know what setting I have screwed up so that I can fix it and get my cart and checkout pages to be properly recognized and redirected to it would be greatly appreciated.

    Pat

  • Hi @wlpdrpat

I understand that upon adding a product to the cart it is redirecting elsewhere than the cart page.

Can you please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > General, and check “Redirect to the cart page after successful addition” to see if that helps?

    I hope this helps! ??

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that checkbox was already checked and the problem persists.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hello,

Can you provide the site URL? So that we can take a better look?

Before moving forward please provide your site’s System Status, you can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    Please let us know.

Thank you both for your quick responses. After getting a good nights sleep I decided to go looking for the issue again and after about an hour I stumbled upon it.

WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Advanced > Page Setup

Then add the correct page for cart, checkout, account, and terms.

    Eureka!! Problem solved.

Sorry for the late-night rant. I’m not sure how I missed that as it was pretty obvious once I visited the advanced tab.

    Thanks,
    Pat
