Redirecting PDFs to WP pages/posts

Is it possible to 301 redirect PDF URLs to a WordPress page or post?
When I add this redirect image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzmckwtx63a2orf/simple%20301%20redirects%20pdf.png?dl=0, it has no effect.
