Redirecting old permalinks

I restructured my permalinks a long time ago from:

/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

to

/%postname%/

but I regularly receive hits to the old URLS — which get redirected to the home page, not the new URLs.

is there a script for .htaccess or other to redirect the old URLS to the new?

example:

https://www.everythingbetween.com/index.php/2006/03/17/the-war-against-south-park

is now at:

https://www.everythingbetween.com/the-war-against-south-park
