I have two recipe websites and I want to redirect recipes from one website, to another website without losing SEO rankings.

    Essentially I want recipesite1.com/bbq-sauce

    to redirect to

    recipesite2.com/bbq-sauce

What’s my best approach for this?

    Hi @npoutdoors,

What you’d need is to have 301 redirects from each recipe URL on the old website to its equivalent on the new website. Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with this, as the redirect manager is part of Yoast SEO Premium only. You wouldn’t be able to achieve this with Yoast SEO.

If you are familiar with writing redirects in .htaccess, this article contains a redirect useful for changing domain names. However, it would need to be adjusted to meet your specific needs.

So all I need to do is use a 301 direct?

    I do have Yoast Premium!

I don’t need to do anything else with google search console?
