Redirecting for Development Purposes

    The site to be replaced are a set of plain HTML pages. The client wishes those pages to be visible during this last week of production, but I need to develop the remainder of the site on the “live” version.

    How can I keep WordPress installed in the root directory and see my modifications while letting everyone else see the current set of HTML pages?
