Redirecting
-
I am confused as to the right way to redirect my website.
I mivred myu blog recently and my old address was
https:// https://www.mmti.org./podcasts/assessment and now it is https://massagetherapypodcasts.com/orthopedic-assessment.

Hi,
I actually found that site but still am confused.Would this work if I enter teh appropriate website addresses?
Redirect to www (htaccess redirect)
Create a .htaccess file with the below code, it will ensure that all requests coming in to domain.com will get redirected to https://www.domain.com
The .htaccess file needs to be placed in the root directory of your old website (i.e the same directory where your index file is placed)Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
rewritecond %{http_host} ^domain.com [nc]
rewriterule ^(.*)$ https://www.domain.com/$1 [r=301,nc]that’s the one I would prefer to use
it will work well if the url’s are correctThanks so much I will try it.
So I would edit the .htaccess file found under the https://www.mmti.org main directory?
yes
If you don’t mind, I have two more questions:
1. I am redireccting 6 subdirectories from one domain to 6 on a different domain. Could I just enter and edit the appropriate code 6 times?
2. Where in the .htaccess fle does the code go?
I already see this code in the file:
#— DH-PHP handlers —
AddHandler fastcgi-script fcg fcgi fpl
AddHandler php-fastcgi .php
Action php-fastcgi /cgi-bin/dispatch.fcgi##
