Redirected page still accesible through AMP version of page
-
Hello,
Let’s say https://www.website.com/carrot/ has been redirected to https://www.website.com/cucumber/.
It is still possible to see the content of https://www.website.com/carrot/ when you visit https://www.website.com/carrot/amp/. Because the AMP version is not being redirected.
How can we get the AMP version of a page to follow the redirect that has been applied to the corresponding regular version of the page? So we don’t end up with AMP copies of pages “hidden/moved” long ago in Google’s index?
Preferably looking for a different solution than deleting the old https://www.website.com/carrot/ page entirely.
Thank you in advance if you’re able to offer some help.
