Redirect website.com/testimonials

hello,
I just want to show the testimonials as widget but i dont want to give permition to users to see the testimonials archive page and the single testimonials page.
I’ve tried to redirect with 301 but it doesnt work. How can i hide/remove/protect it even from google search?
