redirect user to specific page
-
Hi all,
I’m using Ultimate Member (UM) on a site where signed in members (buyers) can view supplier pages and this works great for the buyers. At present the suppliers are not included in the UM setup but I want to bring them in to the UM loop so that when they login to UM they are taken to their specific ‘suppliers’ page instead of the ‘user’ page.
I know I can setup a UM member type (supplier) and redirect the login to a general page for that member role but that wont help with the specific page requirement.
I had thought that I could setup the suppliers as page authors then use wordpress author_meta to help with the link but I don’t want to give suppliers access to the wordpress back end.
Another thought was that I could use a custom field on the suppliers page to link that page to the logged in user ID and use this meta data in the ‘Restict specific user roles from accessing profile page’ code example shown in the UM documentation: UM code example
I realise that this is not a problem with UM as such but would be grateful for any advice or guidance that the more advance forum members could give.
Thanks in advance.
