Redirect to user profile instead of search results page when username clicked

Is there a built-in way to redirect users to their profiles when they click their own username, instead of a search results page that lists posts they authored?

A specific example: the [wppb-login] shortcode when placed in a text widget shows “You are currently logged in as username. Log out ?” When the username is clicked, user is redirected to “https://website.com/author/username” (a search results page); we want it to go to “https://website.com/profile” (PB custom profile editing page) instead.
