Redirect to unpublished page

    Hi all,

    The following link is a post (!): [ redundant link removed ]

    However, it gets redirected to a page (!) that has the same permalink, but (!) is set to “Draft” rather than “Published”.

    Still, I don’t get to see the article/post that I have written.

    I’m really at a loss here.

  • You must have had a strange sequence of events to create this.
    Normally, WP appends a number on the slug to prevent duplicate permalinks. This includes the Trash (and I would think Drafts).
    Delete the one you don’t want to keep, or if you want both, change the title and slug of one. It’s not just WordPress that you are confusing; it’s your audience too.
