Redirect to Paypal standard is not working after “donate now”

    Hi.

    Some poeple are reporting the following problem when trying to donate using a the donation forms on the page indicated: after filling out the forma and clicking “donate now” the page remains blank, the address bar showing the URL of the donation page with get arguments mode=paypal and form_id=[WP ID of form used]), no redirect to Paypal takes place. In giveWP the attempted donation is recorded as incomplete, with all details entered into the form, including the donation amount.

    This problem is not occurring on all systems/in all browsers, there is no pattern of incompatibility. For some combinations of browser/OS for which the problem ocurred donating via the same form has worked correctly at different times.

    Maybe you could give me ideas for debugging this? What coul possibly the paypal redirect to fail? Is there anything in the network protocols I should look for in particular?

    Hi @tschwarz-1,

    Intermitten issues are hard to diagnose but anytime there’s a payment error in the front-end, there’s a more detailed message in the back-end under Donations -> Tools -> Logs.
    Click the eye icon next to any recent error message and copy/paste the full error message in your next reply.

    This will give us more context about the problem.
