Redirect to page after registration/login.

I have a few restricted pages on a site.
The only restriction is that they visitor needs to register/login. If they register, they get a validation email. I want that for new users who register, the validation link in the email will take them to the page they registered from. I would like similar behavior for logging in existing users.
Right now, clicking on the validation link takes the user to the account page. How do I fix this.
