Redirect to landing page after new user registration

When new users on the website create an account and hit the register button it just reloads the same page and there is no confirmation page after registration. New users do receive an email however I want the registration page to redirect to a confirmation page after they have registered. Does anyone know how to do this? We use woocommerce and the shortcode for the my account page. Is it through woocommerce or can we create a new page and redirect to it?
