Redirect to Change Avater

I have the same question. I have tried to redirect the newly registered user to their member profile, but without luck.

Upon a member’s second visit, I have used this redirect code in my functions.php. It works successfully. It appears to not work only upon registration.

$redirect_to = 	bp_core_redirect(bp_core_get_user_domain( $user->id ) . 'profile' );
        return $redirect_to;

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Registration for site:
https://omunchi.com/my-account/

New registrated members go back to
https://omunchi.com/my-account

Would like registration to go to
https://omunchi.com/members/$new-reg-member-name/profile/change-avatar/

I alternatively use a plugin that offers avatar change, immediately after registration call “BuddyPress Signup Avatar” though some member still maintains the default avatar while some change theirs. plugin available here: https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-signup-avatar/
