Redirect to canonical page
-
Hi everyone, I am part of the admin team over at the community blog Technology Bloggers.
We have multiple writers and like to offer writers the opportunity to claim their articles using Google Authorship.
However this sometimes means that links are created that I do not want to be created. Basically author profiles have two variants, https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/profile/ and https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/profile/?rel=author
Here is an example
https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/ronf/
https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/ronf/?rel=authorThey are both the same page.
How can I get https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/ronf/?rel=author to redirect to https://www.technologybloggers.org/author/ronf/
?Is it possible through .htaccess – baring in mind we have a lot of writers, so a lot of profiles.
Short of manually redirecting every one, is there a way to say if the URL ends in /?rel=author redirect to /
?If it helps to know we are using the plugin Redirection.
