Redirect the default blog page

    If you want to have the home page of your site be a different page on your site, you set the page in the SETTINGS / READING section of your admin area. You pick the page you want to use for the home page and if you want a different blog post page, you can set that too. This is part of WordPress functionality (for those that are new to WordPress) so you do not need a plugin to do it.

    If you are trying to redirect the home page to an external location, you can either set up a Quick Redirect with ‘/’ in the request and the new URL in the destination, or you can set a home page (like I mention above) then redirect that page someplace else.
