Redirect problem while changing language

  • I currently have two languages IT/EN with their correspondent menu. No problem ’till here.
    The problem comes when I switch to the other language: the language button always redirects to the first url of the website I landed during the session.
    E.g.: I start from the homepage (EN), I go to “/works” and then I switch to IT. The result is the homepage IT.

    Can you help me with this?

    Hello,

    It’s because, when you click on a menu item, your content is loaded in ajax, without reloading the complete page, especially the menu is kept as is. So your language switcher is kept as is and always links to the translation of the first page that you visited.

    Generally, the themes providing this feature provide an option to disable it. That in our faq: https://polylang.pro/doc/my-menu-doesnt-change-with-the-language/

    it’s not working. when we change the language on any page.
    Always it’s going to home page like we have used two languages English and Hindi
    English is the default language.
    we open about us in the English version, but we want to change the language in Hindi.
    it should be redirect to about us Hindi version but it remains to redirect to the home page.
