    Hello,

When users do a search and there are no results for the searched term, I see a page with a custom message that says ‘Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords’

    1. Is there any function to automatic redirect to another page in case there are no search results? (this would be my most valuable option)

    2. If the automatic redirection is complex: how can I customize that message with some custom html message?

    Thanks!

  • Hello @rolito!

It’s possible to use a plugin to redirect to another page if there are no search results. For example, you could check the Redirection plugin and see if it suits your needs.

    Have a nice day!

The problem is that if there are no search results, the url is like this:

    https://mydomain.com/?s=serch word

So I think I can′t use redirection plugins, because url is dynamic (it always change with search word)

    Hello @rolito ,

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delayed response!

At the moment there is no option to customize the appearance of the search results page but we do have a feature request implemented internally that should achieve it in future releases of the theme.

At the moment, you could achieve a similar effect by using a dedicated plugin for search results. You can pick the one that suits your needs best from this list here.

Thank you for understanding and have an amaizng day!
