    Hi.
I am using this method in my eshop for downloadable products to redirect users to a URL in my webpage(i am checking with the appropriate hook if user is logged in to give him access to file or URL).
From 4.0.0 I can see a message that says this method as deprecated?
What this means? Will it be removed in newer versions of woocommerce?
If yes, much custom work will be useless ?? …

    Hey @pexlechris,

Generally speaking, yes. If something has been deprecated, it means it is no longer supported and as such may be removed in the future.

Depending on what it is, sometimes the deprecated function is kept for backwards compatibility for a time. However, it will eventually be removed. If you would like to future-proof your customizations, you would want to update them.

If you want to connect with other developers for advice on what the best way to do any customization that you want is, I would recommend checking the WooCommerce Developer Slack or Advanced WooCommerce Facebook group. As those communities are both frequented by developers (including our own).
