Redirect Loop after migration

Hi.

I just migrated a WordPress site something I’ve done many times in the past without issue. however with this site I am getting a redirect loop.

I have disabled all plugins and set the theme back to twentyeleven to rule out any of these.

I do have access to the administration section. This loads fine

WP_SITEURL=https://site.com/wp

however when I add https:// to WP_HOME this is when the redirection loop occurs if I remove https:// making WP_HOME just site.com the home page will load but when it tries to load many of the page assets the get url is https://site.com/site.com/wp/uploads….. also links to other pages cause a redirect loop

I set the permalink structure back to default and removed the .htaccess file this causes a redirect loop.

I’m almost certain it is something to do with the server configuration though I do not have access to view these directly and the server support guy claims there is nothing causing a redirect on that side of things.

Any help would be greatly appreciated this has taken a lot of my time already
