  • Hi Katalin,

Just tested it and it worked fine for me. Are you still having problems?

Ohhh, yes, I think we still have problems. The thing is that most of the people can register, only 5-10% gets this redirect loop. I have no idea what is the reason that some people get the loop, while the page works fine for most of them.

What other plugins are you running?

I had a redirect loop issue that randomly haunted me for months.

It wasn’t the Event’s manager at the end of the day.

Akismet, All in One SEO, Events Manager, Google XML Sitemaps with qTranslate Support, WP-PageNavi and a couple plugins for the DUOTIVE WP theme (like galleries, projects, tag cloud, etc).

DJLunacy, what was the problem in your case?

Do you know if it’s a specific browser that shows the problem? I’ve tested it on Chrome & Firefox and it seems ok.

I do not think that it depends on the browser: our customers were able to produce the loop in all 3 major browsers:

    https://jogapszichologia.hu/redirect1.jpg
    https://jogapszichologia.hu/redirect2.jpg

What plugins does the theme use?

The hunch in my instance was likely a combination of two plugins. I didn’t fully test my second part of my theory, but I didn’t care as they weren’t 100% essential. The problems seemed to have vanished.

You’re going to want to look at anything that controls forwards or redirects.

    (@katalintamas)

These are the special Duotive plugins: Duotive – Recent Posts, Duotive – Recent Projects, Duotive Contact Details, Duotive Contact Form, Duotive Mini Gallery, , Duotive Post Tag Cloud.

How do I find anything that controls forwards or redirects?

Login plugins could be one culprit.

Membership plugins, really anything that forwards you to a different page could potentially be a problem. It’s likely though that it’s a plugin.

You could always try switching themes and see if that resolves it to eliminate the them itself but that’s not always practical or ideal.

If it’s not obvious after looking into it I’d just disable a plugin a day and you might get lucky.

Just to add to what DJLunacy said, at least two plugins from your first list are likely to have redirect coding in them – All in One SEO and WP-PageNavi.

OK, thanks! I try disable them for a day, let’s see what happens! ??

And? I got the same and it was for unauthenticated users. As soon as I logged in, it was fine, so it stinks like a unauthroised redirect not succeeding. As of that I already had to deactivate a plugin before:

    Members Access

Now I need to find a better plugin for securing content, e.g. Press permit, if it does offer private blog feature.
