redirect loop

installed my wordpress on https://www.domain.com/wordpress. i then wanted to redirect so the wordpress would show when going to https://www.domain.com. i followed a guide from here somewhere (cant find it) wich told me to change Site URL to https://www.domain.com and then move index.php and change a string in it. it also told me to move .htaccess to the root, but i dont have that file (enabled show hidden in filezilla).

so i went with it – and it worked for like 10 minutes. but now chrome tells me there is a Redirect loop and i have no idea where to go from here.
