Redirect loop
-
I have two separate domains with this issue (technically three).
I transferred the core files of a site (theoldclub.com) to my own server (dreamhost) and restored a backup of their database onto mine (also dreamhost). When their DNS from their domain changed and pointed to my server, the homepage throws a redirect loop, and when trying to log into the backend (both wp-admin and wp-login.php) when I submit, it just points back to wp-login.php (without telling me its a wrong password or anything).
Now, at first I thought it has something to do with an .htaccess file, which I found out I didn’t have. So I took one from another working wordpress install and the same thing happens. Then I searched around and saw that plugins might be doing the job. I removed all plugins to no avail.
Now, onto the other site. I installed wordpress to a test domain (daa.cirkut.net) and got everything up and running (as it still is). I copied all the core files to the other domains folder (daagolf.com) and the database has remained the same (they’re both on my server). When changing the URI’s, the same exact redirect problems occur.
I need to have these properly moved over as soon as possible. Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
