Redirect logout to frontend not backend

The code shared to achieve this was:

function my_auto_redirect_after_logout(){
    wp_safe_redirect( home_url() );
    exit();
}
add_action('wp_logout','my_auto_redirect_after_logout');

I have passed this information onto our development team as a feature request. I do not have an ETA when this will be fulfilled. You may use the above code for the mean-time.
