• Hi, I’m trying to get a single protected members-only page on a public church site. The problem I’m having is that after the plugin redirects the user to the login page, it then takes him to the admin backend instead of the members page. I’ve left the Default Redirect boxes blank on the plugin’s Options page, so it’s not the behaviour I expect.

I’m using a custom theme largely based on the Naked theme (although I added support for Featured Images).

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks, Paul. I actually installed that this aft, but the settings are pretty complicated and it’s not wholly transparent what they do. Will continue to try to figure it out.

Hm, I got that to work, but it appears something else is wrong. I’m getting a page not found error at the member page, even though it is created as a (private) page on the back end. I thought it might be a theme issue, but it gets the same result when I switch themes, including to 2014.

On my template, it’s apparently going to the wrong template too—I’ve set it to a page template, but it’s displaying archive links, which I don’t have displayed on any of my page templates. It’s picking up my index.php, I think. So I guess the problem is bigger than the plugins. :\

Hm. It works if I set the WordPress publishing setting to Public… is that really what I’m supposed to do when using this plugin?

I have exactly the same problem, but you did set the ‘WordPress publishing setting to Public, where can I find that setting? My settings for the plugin are all Public, still it does not work for me. I’m new to this stuff and is searching for information… How did you come out? WP- version is 3.8.3, WordPress Access Control version is 4.0.8.
