Redirect feature issue + alternative

Hello,

After I activate the “Redirect” option, when I visit our English website with a browser set to English and click on some menu items, I’m directed to the French page of that menu item even though the link is to the English page and my settings are set to English. When I deactivate the redirect setting, the problem goes away. Do you know what might be causing this? Is it something wrong with my configuration?

Also, what I would really prefer is if, based on browser language settings, instead of redirecting users, a pop-up would show up to inform them of the existence of the page in their (maybe) preferred. Similar to what Amazon used to do based on location or langue settings, I believe. Is this a feature that might be added in the future? If not, do you know of a plugin that might do this?
