    Hi,

    I’m trialing the free version ahead of a purchase. One of the key features which attracted us to MetForm is for the user to be redirected to a confirmation page/URL after submitting a form.

    I have MetForm installed and connected to MailChimp fine – all went well. However despite adding a URL into my test form’s “Redirect To” field, saving, updating & publishing my page – no redirect takes place after the test form is submitted. Instead, I just stay on the page which contains the form and see the “Your form was submitted successfully” message, or if I remove the text I get the “checkmark” icon. But no redirect.

    Is there any specific format I need to add the URL as in the “Redirect to” input field of Form Settings? Currently I’m using a fully qualified https://www.mydomain.com/location format.

    // WordPress 6.0.3
    // Elementor 3.9.0 dev
    // nginx 1.21.6

    Thanks

    Update: I reverted to Elementor 3.80 / Pro 3.7.7 – the issue remains.

    I have no other plugins active aside from Elementor/Pro, MetForm and Duplicator Pro (site backup solution)

    Hello @steve1215 ,
    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    I understood that the Redirection feature of MetForm is not working properly on your end. I tested that feature soon after getting your report and I can assure you that the Redirection after submitting the Form is happening correctly. Also, there is no issue with the URL format that you’re using.

    Maybe there is something on your end preventing the Redirection to work properly. Did your server get any specific rules for redirection? Kindly consult with your server administrator if they have set any specific rules to prevent redirection.

    In the meantime, please flush the permalink structure. To do so, navigate to Settings > Permalink section, change the permalink structure to anything, and save the changes. After saving the changes, you can revert the structure to the previous one. It will refresh the htaccess file of your site and if any rules are applied for redirection in the htaccess, that will also be refreshed.

    Let me know how it goes. If further assistance is needed, I will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Prosenjit,

    Thanks for taking the time to respond, it’s much appreciated.

    We run nginx on all our sites, not Apache so sadly .htaccess wasn’t relevant. Also the suggestions with Permalinks didn’t make any difference I’m afraid – HOWEVER I do now seem to have a solution.

    We’re using Metform with MailChimp and chose not to use Metform’s “Store Entries” option in Form Settings for saving responses into the local db. Here’s what I found:

      ? With “Store Settings” disabled on my form, whenever a user submits my form the page does not redirect. It displays the “Thanks for your message” string and remains on the page where the form is<

      ? With “Store Setting” enabled on my form, the redirect works as expected when the user submits the form/ul>

      This is 100% reproducible; switch off Store Settings, and the redirect doesn’t happen – switch it back on, and the redirect happens fine.

      I’m happy to send you a video if you have a support email address.

      Thanks again,

      Steve
