• The authentication from WordPress to Zendesk works exactly as expected. When our customers access our Zendesk URL, they are redirected to one of our WordPress sites for authentication, and then sent directly to the Zendesk help center. Our concern, however, is “What if our WordPress server is down for some reason?” I tested what would happen by stopping our Apache service, and I get the error message that the site cannot be found.

Is there a way to automatically redirect users to the Zendesk site if the WordPress server is down?

Hi @uschesch,
There is no automatic way to redirect users to your Zendesk Support site if the WordPress server is down. You and your customers can logon to Zendesk by using the URL https://<YOUR_ZENDESK_SUBDOMAIN>.zendesk.com/access/normal at which point you can temporarily disable WordPress authentication until the server gets back up.

Hope that helps!
