    Hello.

I run a music website called Only Australian Music

    https://www.onlyausmusic.com/main/

What I would like to do is offer a promotion for a particular band/artist, whereby every person visiting the site, from no matter where…Google or Facebook or whatever, will get redirected to a particular page containing the promotion.

Obviously this promo page would also contain a “continue to your requested link” and/or an “Enter Site” link, which would take the person to the place they wanted to go originally, presumably after they have at least perused the promotion.

I am not sure if there is a proper name for this, otherwise I would google it.

You could create a splash page that can be html page if you like that you put in facebook or where you advertise and in splash you will have link to your wordpress

Hi Govpatel, thank you for the quick reply.

I think that I may not have articulated my request very well.

I would like all incoming links, no matter where they are from, to go to a page containing a promotion.

This promotional page should also contain a link that will take the reader where he was originally wanting to go, as well as a standard “Enter Site” link.

At the risk of sounding like a deviate, some porn sites have something like this. You click on a link and get taken to a “prove you are 18 or over” page, before being allowed to follow the original link.

I hope thats a little clearer.

I solved this issue with a plugin called “Thickbox Announcement”. It took a little fiddling and a new page template and it’s not 100% right (my own fault), but it does the job I was looking for.

    You can see it here

Thank you for your time Govpatel.
