Redirect after Registration and Login

So here’s the deal, I’ve got a wordpress site with wp-forum installed. What I want it happens is when a user registers for the forum, they get taken back to the forum, not to the dashboard. It seems easy enough, but I haven’t been able to find anything to solve this problem. Searching through the support forums here I’ve found a couple posts about it, but nothing too in depth.

Right now I have it set up so that after a user logs in, they are brought to the home page, which is better than the dashboard, but it would be nice to get the redirect_to working. I’ve been installing plugins (From Where You Came and WZ_Loginredirect, among others) to no avail. I’ve tried editing wp-login.php to get the redirect_to variable to pass along each step in the process, but again, I can’t get it to work.

Has anyone done this before? Is there a plugin I don’t know about? Any help would be appreciated.
