Redirect after login

  • If a student returns to continue a course there are a few problems:

    1. They have to click the “Buy Course” button again which will then take them to a login screen. To address this issue I made an link at the bottom of the course description that brings them to the same page as clicking the “Buy Course” button. Not sure if there is a better way to handle this.

    2. Once they login it does not redirect them to the course. In our case we have one course so I would like to just redirect them to it. If we had more than one course it would also be okay to redirect to the LP-Profile page. It looks like if I was using a ThimPress theme then the customizer might give me a way to set the redirect page, but I’m using my own theme.

    Can you provide instructions on how to hook in and redirect to the course or the LP-Profile page?

    Can you share the site URL so I can test the checkout course process?

    I have checked the LearnPress system, users when take a course, they go to login page and then redirect back to the course.

    I stopped using LearnPress. Too many issues and support was lacking. For example, I never heard back from them on this thread after he asked for the URL. I’ve switched to LearnDash which isn’t perfect either, but it seems quite a bit better.

    I’ve been using this plugin to create redirects when needed. It can do conditional redirects that only execute when logged in and things like that.

    Hi Ken -has there been any resolution to this? I have installed LearnPress and I was wondering where the login page is for the enrollees if they need to go back to the course? Is there a particular link I can add to the top of my homepage at least?

    For this moment I have resolved the problem n. 1 indicating the link at the profile, in the email of order confirm so that the student can access directly.
    It would be nice to include widgets or additional button for login.
    The process is twisted and simplified to facilitate the students.

    Any chance to redirect back to LP where they started registration/login?

    This is such a basic need.
    Enroll. Get to the course.

    How is this such a problem? I have spent hours trying to figure this out. I’m about to jump ship.
