    Hi,

We have a domain that no longer has a website on it. That domain name lives at the registar for all of our domains.

We wanted to forward a specific page from that old domain/website to a new page we have created on our current live website.

Both domains names live at the same registrar – but the website files for the live site are hosted at a different company.

Is it permitted to use the Redirection plugin on the live website and create a redirect from a specific page on the old domain to a new page on the live site?

    Thank you,

    Maggie

The redirect needs to occur on the original site.

Ah. That’s what I was worried about.

The client let me know the old site files were already taken down by the former host.

The good news is that at the registrar the old domain is successfully pointed to the new domain and the redirect there is working.

We’ll just have to come up with a workaround for any clients who still use the old urls.

Thank you for the quick response. I do appreciate it.
