    Help

I have been using this plugin for several years. I have the latest version.

I’m baffled by this. I have two sites a staging site and production site. The staging site and production site are identical. I have all the same plugins, files, theme settings and templates. The gallery works perfectly on test site but receive the red triangle when adding any gallery to a page on production site.

I can’t disable the production site plugins/theme as its production and 24/7 busy. Is there any way to troubleshot why this doesn’t work on my production site?

@wpadmin99 – If you are migrating your “test” site to your “production” site you may be introducing issues with this operation.

Please try our external Reset Tool plugin here: https://bitbucket.org/photocrati/nextgen-gallery-reset/get/default.zip

To install and activate, go to Plugins > Add New … Upload Plugin
To use, go to Tools > NextGEN Gallery Reset

We do not offer specific support for the Reset Tool plugin as is but it can help in many circumstances, please let us know if it does.

From here, clear your image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous.

Using the Reset Tool will put the plugin back to its installation defaults which should sort out any migration issues but you may need to re-set any options you have changed from the defaults as a result.

    Thanks!

I’m not migrating any data. I installed the plugin directly from the plugin site. I have deleted and removed the plugin several times. I have even set the permission on the folder to 777, I have changed it back to 644. I have installed both test and production directly from the plugin page.

I don’t have any galleries created. I was going to create a custom template but haven’t got past this simple default gallery.

@wpadmin99 – If there are no galleries created what exactly are you trying to insert into the page/post where you are seeing this issue? As it is, seeing a red triangle with an exclamation mark is expected behavior if the display source (read: gallery, album, etc.) does not exist or is not selected.

    Thanks!
