Red Required Field Is sitting on top of input field

I have cloned a old site and when a user does not fill in a field the red “Please fill the required field” sits on top of the input field which does not allow the user to enter new text.

https://h3financialservices.com/test.jpgI have deleted all custom CSS, reinstalled the plugin, checked line height on all fonts and still can not fix this issue. Any insight would be appreciated
