Is there any reason for the red “1” circle alert indicating “update” or other notification on the sidebar listing of Burst “statistics”, other than Burst is trying to constantly get the user to Upgrade to Pro? Any chance that annoyance can be turned off? ?? Thanks in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @3cstudio,

Thank you for reaching out. Could you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing? This shouldn’t happen and I haven’t seen it before. The +1 should only be visible if there is an update available.

Are you running the latest version of Burst Statistics?

    Kind regards,
    Leon

@3cstudio I think you’re referring to the +1 in the Burst menu, not in the plugins overview?

For example, on my own website this plus-one refers to a new feature in the free plugin, regarding email reports. So in this case it’s not about upgrading to pro, but about a new feature in the free plugin.

After clicking the ‘x’ on the notice the plus one is gone.

I’ll add a new setting which allows to prevent any notifications from being added, would that resolve the issue for you?

I have created a branch here:
    https://github.com/Burst-Statistics/burst/tree/option-to-dismiss-non-error-notices

You can deactivate your current plugin, then download this version (download zip using the green button). Then upload it as a normal WordPress plugin.

Then you will see a new option under ‘advanced’ to dismiss all non-error notices.

Let me know if that is what you’re looking for.

Gents, thank you for the speedy responses. Oddly enough, I simply logged in and clicked on the sidebar link: Statistics > Settings … and the red dot +1 disappeared. “Something” in Settings (even before downloading anything or clicking on Advanced) removed that alert. Not sure what “fixed” it, but that’s all I did on this end!

    Thanks again.

I have the same issue on every website after each automatic update.

Click the “open a support thread” link on the dashboard and refresh. Red circle gone until the next auto update.

    @henkbekker Please try this branch:

which will be included in the next update most likely.
