Greetings Takayuki, thank you for your hard work on this great plugin. Sadly I’m having the same issue, red box: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

Been through your “FAQ” [1] and “Best practice” [2] pages but nothing there solves this. Am using WordPress 5.6 on Ubuntu server with Apache2, mySQL, PHP 7.2 versions. Also have a [email protected] mailbox setup.

I tried installing plugins “SMTP Mailer” and “Easy WP SMTP” since they claim to work with Contact-7 forms. They both work just fine sending email in their test message mode. However Contact-7 does not appear to integrate with them.

Also did a wp_mail() test per Chad Butler’s website [3] and verified my wp_mail() function is working correctly. So I know it’s not my server or WordPress site. Seems to be something in your PHP code.

Really want to use your Contact-7 form but just won’t work. Red box error every time. Some real help would be appreciated.

You have a reCAPTCHA error in the browser console. Try once removing the API keys to deactivate reCAPTCHA.

Thank you for your kind help. Before form stopped working was using Contact 7 form with reCaptcha v2 plugin. When new Contact 7 version updated to use reCaptcha v3 it broke the form but didn’t realize it wasn’t working until recently. Then in troubleshooting I had mistakenly entered the old v2 keys on the integration menu instead of getting new v3 ones from Google.

Solution then, for anyone else encountering this problem: Register v3 keys with Google and enter the new ones in the Contact 7 “Integration” menu. Deactivate and remove separate v2 reCaptcha plugin.

Thanks Takayuki! Purchased Wapuloader plugin just now.
