Recurring Payments/Woocommerce Subscriptions

  • I see recurring payments can be done with the api on the airwallex website notes but does this plugin automate that process if using it with Woocommerce Subscriptions? Currently using stripe and looking to move as have airwallex already. Which wallets offered to Hong Kong companies can support the recurring payments for online subscriptions? Thanks

    @dubaidogfish thank you for your questions.
    We support the reccurings via the Airwallex API as you mentioned, but the plugin currently does not have this functionality. We plan to implement it soon for Saved cards(Customer initiated transaction ) and for Subscriptions(Merchant Initiated transaction).
    Would integration with Woocommerce Subscriptions help you?

    Hello, thanks for your reply. Yes integration with Woocommerce Subscriptions would be massively helpful, the Woocommerce Stripe plugin supports Woocommerce Subscriptions for taking subscription payments via Stripe, so if there was an Airwallex equivalent plugin I should think a lot of people would make the move. Looking forward to the new features, thank you.

    Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. We have added this to the roadmap.
    FOr the listing on WooCommerce website – we are working on this right now but technically it does not change the functionality and we can already work towards the subscription integration.

    Related to this topic, our WooCommerce Subscriptions seems to be intermittently dropping the merchant fees after the initial correct payment from future subscription deductions – though it is inconsistent when this happens. It looks like it either might be applying it to the initial order, but not to subsequent follow up payments or perhaps some different card payment types it doesn’t get applied? We’ve had a quick look around and couldn’t see any settings that might affect that, or whether it’s turned on or off. Would you have any feedback on this?

    @fremantlechamber we have release our version working with WooCommerce subscriptions just now. you can try it.
    the merchant fee is charged per transaction base and also depends on the plan. Airwallex support multiple plans like Interchange++ or Blended rate. please have a look and we are happy to support you with them airwallex.com
