Recurring Payments (subscriptions) Payflow 2.x or DoDirect ?

    Hi,

    I am going to be using the Woocommerce Subscription plugin for recurring donations and wanted to know if there is any reason I should select on of the following payment methods over the other.

    PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment) or PayPal Payments Pro 2.0 (PayFlow)

    Also, should or do I need SSL on my server, are the CC#s stored on my server or is it a IPN request to paypal which has the cards on file?

    Hi Jeffrey,

    I’m afraid that as of now PayPal for WooCommerce does not support subscriptions. I do have plans of getting it included in our 1.2 release, but it might be a month or two before that’s ready as there are quire a few things on that list that will take some time to get completed.

    Our plugins will never store credit card details on your server. When working with subscriptions / recurring payments the details are saved at PayPal and they handle everything for you.

    Sorry I don’t have better immediate news.

    Thanks for the super fast response. I just bought you two beers (made a donation) hoping that offers some encouragement or at least gets those neurons firing.

    Looking forward to release 1.2 or 1.2.1 ??

    @devprolabs, it’s probably going to be another month or two before it’s done. I’ve got a lot on that list.
