    Hello,

Just noticed a subscription upgrade is failling due to this happening:

Recurring payment failed. Reason: Request is not well-formed, syntactically incorrect, or violates schema.

I’m unable to find the fitting error log for it.

    Debug is enabled: https://i.imgur.com/1N7saoM.png

I had previously the Woocommerce Paypal plugin enabled (which is currently installed but not enabled) and the user bought the subscription initially from there.

There isn’t a transaction ID as well: https://i.imgur.com/ZPaTEb7.png

    What could the problem be?

Quick Note: I’ve activated the old Paypal gateway which I’m suspecting that since the payment method was not active the old subscriptions could not be processed. I might be wrong!

Currently the old PayPal gateway is set up not to show up in the cart and is active as payment method.

    Hi @yavuzyayla

This plugin is designed to process recurring payments created by other PayPal plugins so I don’t believe that’s the issue.

Navigate to your WooCommerce > Status > Logs page and there will be a “wc-ppcp” log file that contains the reason for that error message.

If you share that entry from the log file, we can track down the cause of that recurring payment failure.

    Kind Regards,

Setting to resolved. It appears that the customer cancelled their billing agreement with the merchant, which results in a failed recurring payment.
