Recurring events (years) not working

  • Hi!

    I love the Events Calendar, however I’m encountering a bug. I’m trying to create recurring events that happen every few years. I’ve filled in that the event takes place “yearly” every “5” year(s), but I get it for every year. Because I suspected some kind of concflict, I tried this on two pages, and I got the same result for both. Can you help, please?

    Could you check your PHP version please.
    This plugin has a problem with reoccurring events if the site is not running on PHP version 7.x

    Hi Peter!

    I had 7.1 running and now changed to 7.2, the bug still shows up. Do you have any other suggestions? It inlay happens when I use years, “every two weeks” for example works fine.

    I might have a clue. My site is in German, and there might be a translation issue. With all other repetitions, the display in the backend is correct. With the yearly repetitions, there is no blank space between “j?hrlich” and the next word. Can that cause the issue, and how can I fix it?

    Hello,

    There are known issues if you’re using Recurring Events and you have a PHP that is lower than 7.0. I would recommend updating to any PHP 7.0 and above.

    Do you also use WPML along with Recurring Events? If yes, Currently EM doesn’t support WPML with Recurring events.

    Tested it on my system in Dutch (same problem no blank after the text year)
    Same problem as you have, it plans the event every year !
    So the developer must have a look at it, and see if he can find the cause of the problem.
    It does not matter which amount of years you select!

    sorry for the confusion and just to confirm, yearly events are working fine however setting it to every 5 years when this bug happens ?
