    Hi,

I have the free version of this plugin and I can;t figure out how to create recurring events. I just simply need an event to repeat every Friday at the same start and end time. Is this possible with the free version?

It seems recurring events is a pretty basic feature. Please don’t tell me this is locked behind the Pro plugin, I will be very disappointed.

    Hi, @gamerwithadegree,

Thanks for reaching out, I’ll be happy to help!

I apologize for the inconvenience here, recurring events are a feature of our PRO version. As mentioned on our site here: https://theeventscalendar.com/products/wordpress-events-calendar/

Recurring events are integrated with each of the calendar’s views.

I apologize for not having better news for you, please let me know if I can be of further assistance here. We do also offer demos for our plugin that allow you to preview all their features: https://demo.theeventscalendar.com/

Very dissapointed that a basic feature is locked behind the PRO plugin. Seems this is happening more and more with wordpress plugins. I am not decrying anyone for trying to earn a living but £99 A YEAR just to get one feature is far too expensive. That might be OK for some large or medium business to pay but I’ve made a website for a very small local charity who doesnt have that kind of money.

Plugin developers should consider releasing certain features as add ons, I would gladly pay £10 for an add-on that gives me just recurring events. Instead, If I want it I need to pay $99 and get a load of garbage I don’t even need or want.

I mean seriously, whats next? A gallery plugin where you have to buy the PRO version jsut to upload photos. That’s what it’s coming to.
