Recurring events share the same comments?

Say I create a recurring event (once each Monday) and some users enter comments at the bottom of the event page. It seems like the same comments appear on each individual event. So if someone says “I will arrive at 6:30” for the first event, the same comment appears on every page of the other events. Is this really how it is meant to work? I would think that each event should have its own distinct comments, no?

In terms of settings, under General I have checked “Show Comments”.
