Hi, I use recurring events and one off events but I don’t want a ton of recurring events to show at the end of my one off events. If I just leave the events running I end up with this at the end of my calendar:

Last one off event I added – date – time
    Recurring event 1 – date – time
    Recurring event 2 – date – time
    Recurring event 1 – date – time
    Recurring event 2 – date – time
    Recurring event 1 – date – time
    Recurring event 2 – date – time
    Recurring event 1 – date – time
    Recurring event 2 – date – time

    etc

I have been therefore manually extending the date range of my recurring events each month when I do the one off events for the month, but it takes more time than I would really like to spend.

Is there any way to just say “for recurring events only show 4 weeks into the future” or use a global end date for all calendar items to display?

You could try something simple like this:

    [events_list limit="10" pagination="0"]
    <div class="none">CONTENTS</div>

Hi All, sorry for slow reply – I got round to trying this today and finally got it working

    https://www.stoswalds-knuzden.org.uk/events/

I used the code [events_list scope=”2-months” limit=10 pagination=1] and switched off the events page setting here Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives – I set it to no page. @duisterdenhaag – it took me a while to understand your message but I got there eventually! It’s working well, but I would value a 30-days feature, the 1-month is a bit unrefined, at the end of the month like now I get only 1-2 days of events but with 2-months I get more than I need ?? But it’s otherwise working well.

    Thanks everyone for your help!

@gujingc – your behavior is appalling, I tried to report you but there is no obvious way to do that. I have never come across such bad behavior here before, you are a TROLL – and it’s not welcome. Please be nicer, then you will also be welcome!

@aprilschmitt27 – thanks for your help especially, well done on getting this working and keep up all the learning, as will I!

Anna, you points taken. My apologies.

Our issue was resolved. We had a very tight timeline measured by hours. We were against the gun when I was posting to get any response I could.

This is my first post back to any Events Manager public forum in the last 12 days.

The community is amazing. I have not seen the degree of camaraderie in other plugin forums like this one. I still believe Events Manager will be a lot more successful if it invests more on customer service.

Our team just finished switching from Events Calendar to Events Manager with the help of this forum and the Pro forum.

Patrick was correct that EM is much easier to customize. I would like to add, because of its simplicity, it runs a lot faster. Events Calendar has 770,000 active installations and 13 million downloads. I now think Events Manager has the potential to be much more widely adopted. Personally, I now think Events Manager is a better product, which is also attributable to people like Patrick and you.
