So I’m having an interesting issue. When I try to set up a recurring event / event series, I click on the button right below time / date and the page reloads, displaying a “successfully updated” message, but not displaying, however, the recurring event options. I have tried deactivating all my plugins and even my themes but to no avail.

  • I have the same problem with events callendar pro. Please help.

I am having the same exact problem. I tried downgrading both Event Caleedar and Event Calendar Pro (together) with no success. This was after I tried to update a recurring event (without messing with the recurring part), and the event was just deleted and the update yellow bar stayed frozen for hours. Extremely frustrating!

This same thing happened to me! We have the most updated plugin on the Events Calendar, but it refreshes the page when I hit the “schedule multiple events” button instead of offering the drop down. Following for update.

I was able to resolve the issue by deactivating unneeded plugins. I’m not sure which one in particular was causing the issue, as I was already in the middle of mass deleting unneeded plugins to help fix our websites loading speed.

In my staging site I deactivated all plugins but the calendar ones, then reactivated needed plugins one by one, testing calendar function along the way.

    Hope this helps guys!

Thanks for your comments, but I still haven’t been able to resolve the issue.

I have both downgraded and upgraded to the newest version, and have pretty much nothing but elementor and wordfence running alongside it.

    Hi @demianlicht

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site.

As a first step, can you try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to switch things around on your live site.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

I find that one plug-in make the problem. Plug in ie essential grid. Whe disable the plugin all work normal now. This plug-in was not a problem before last wordpress update.

    Hi @peterocvirk

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find the culprit here. Is this a plugin that you can live without or can find a replacement for?

If not, I’d recommend downgrading our plugin to the version where everything played nicely together.

Hi all! I am not able to find the culprit. I have deactivated all other plugins, have spun up a whole new dev server with a clean install and still nothing.

    Hi @demianlicht

I’m sorry to hear that you have not been able to find the culprit.

It sounds like you have Events Calendar Pro with the recurring events feature.

Would you mind opening up a premium support ticket here:

    See you there!
