    Hi guys

We are using Events Manager Version 5.5.3.1 and WordPress 4.4.2

Everything has always worked fine with adding standard events both from the front and backend.

Just now we are interested in starting using Recurring Events. When we tried to add our first recurring event, instead of getting published, it remains in Draft and we get a [ERROR: corrupted database record] in the Recurring Events admin section under Date and Time and the events don’t get added as single events in Events.

Do you have any clues to help us figure out how we can fix this?

Thanks in advance, your help is much appreciated.

    Hi,

Does this happen in the front-end, back end or both?

Have you tried upgrading to the latest version of Events Manager?

Thanks for the usual fast reply.

This happens in the backend, we have not added the functionality to the front end yet.

We received this heavily customized installation that at least 2 different teams had been working on, and I’m afraid updating the plugin will make an undetermined number of features to stop working.

That’s why I was wondering whether you had any clues to help me find what the issue could be…

If the plugin customizations have been made directly to the plugin files, rather than using filters & hooks, that could be responsible for the problem.

That said, if you’re seeing [ERROR: corrupted database record] then there’s likely to be a problem with the database.

One thing you could try is to set up a fresh install of WordPress with a copy of the modified Events Manager. If you don’t see the database error message it would more or less confirm a problem with the database on the live site.

We’ve been able to sort this out, not without considerable hard work.

I want to thank you once again for being always available and willing to help, it is much appreciated.
