Looking for best practice on how to handle URL that is no longer a valid event. Example below.
When an event is scheduled as a recurring event the url looks like this:
https://vegascarshows.com/event/aces-eights-cc-in-n-out-car-cruise-in-3/2019-10-23 – This event was canceled. I removed the event from the schedule.
Automatically, it now redirects to https://vegascarshows.com/event/aces-eights-cc-in-n-out-car-cruise-in-3/all/
Google indexed the first link months ago. Site has been reindexed and the first URL is excluded as it is a redirect to the second link “/all/” page now. I temporarily requested google exclude the first Url from all search. However, Google still has events on their calendar referencing the original event date, and links to the
    “/all/” page.
Question 1: What Best Practice does Events Calendar/Tribe recommend when you need to cancel or change recurring events in the future? Do we just change the date and live with incorrect info on Google events pages or is there a better way to handle edits to recurring events?
Question 2: is there a way to change the Recurring events individual event page URLs so they do not contain the date?
I use ECPro but am wondering if anyone else experienced the same issues and found a resolution? I haven’t had much of a straight answer from support on best practice to handle this better… Thanks in advance.
