• First, I am an idiot for not backing up my posts.

That said, all my posts have disappeared from the past year. My web host seems to be mystified as to where they went. I have found them in the cache of my websites feed at Google. Hooray!

Problem: Can I recapture this file and then imp[ort it to my blog and get all my posts back? This question was too hard for my web host…

    Thanks,
    DM

  • You can not import the post directly from Google cache. You will have to copy the contents manually and then create posts. You will need to do it as soon as possible otherwise if Google doesn’t get the page contents (404 error) then your pages may be removed from Google cache after few days.

Google for your blog name and then select “show all results,” if that is an option. That will show all of your indexed pages, and hopefully you’ll be able to view and copy the cached page.
