Okay, so tonight the most puzzling and utterly infuriating thing happened. I clicked the Save Draft button and for no apparent reason a blank screen appeared with some text along the lines of “Are you sure you want to do this?” appeared. I thought it was odd, but clicked OK as I knew I wanted to save the draft.

I was then taken back to the previous page where, to my horror, I realised that for some reason all the work I had done over the last few hours had been completely deleted and a previous version had somehow reappeared.

I should make clear that I did not load an older draft from any revision history – this just happened of it’s own accord. It was most definitely not user error.

My question now is: is there any way to recover the blog I had written based on the autosaved timestamp as opposed to the revision history?

The reason I ask is because (for some reason) despite being careful to click the “Save Draft” button every 15 minutes or so – just in case – the last saved revision that the site records was from 20 hours ago – which I know is complete crap!

If anyone could talk me through a step-by-step way of recalling my now lost work (assuming there is one), that would be awesome.

If there isn’t one then I need you guys to break it to me gently and wear black for the next 3 days in solidarity…

    Cheers,
    Andy
