Recovering a Deleted Site

    Hi there-

    I’m trying to determine if I can “resurrect” an old WordPress website of mine that has been untouched in the last year. This is a major long shot as I believe I deleted my account but wondering if there is some sort of archive available?

    I have but it’s past the 15 day mark where they can automatically recover the site. And unfortunately I do not have any backups of the site available. That’s why I was asking if there is something within WordPress to recover it. Major long-shot I know:-/

    Then, I’m afraid, you are out of luck.

    WordPress doesn’t know or keep anything to do with your site, so there’s nothing that could be “recovered” as no one here ever had anything to start with.

    Unless you have backups (most people don’t, even thogh we all should), the only thing that you can try is looking at archive.org and seeing if there’s any records of your site in there. This won’t get your site back, but you’ll be able to see the content and possibly some images as well, and you’ll have to rebuild your site from scratch with that. Unfortuantely that’s all that can be done.
